Information you give us

When you fill out a form on this site, whether that's contacting us, requesting a proposal, booking the photo studio, or signing up for our email list, we collect what you type: typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever you tell us about your project. Our forms are powered by Mailchimp, so this information is stored in our Mailchimp account.

If you sign up for our email list, we'll send you occasional emails about our work, the studio, and things happening at the gallery. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes one click. Contacting us about a project does not sign you up for marketing emails.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site uses cookies and similar technologies that collect some information automatically:

• Analytics data, such as which pages you visit, how long you stay, what device and browser you use, and roughly where you're visiting from. This helps us understand what's useful on the site and what isn't.
• Advertising data through the Meta Pixel, which helps us measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram are working and show relevant ads to people who've visited this site. Meta's own use of this data is governed by Meta's privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. The site will still work.

Payment information

If you pay us online, such as booking the photo studio, your payment is processed by Square. Your card number goes to Square, not to us, and we never see or store it. Square's handling of your payment data is covered by Square's privacy policy.

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your messages and requests.
• Provide services you've booked or hired us for.
• Process payments and keep required business records.
• Send email updates to people who've signed up for our list.
• Understand how people use this site so we can improve it.
• Measure and run our own advertising.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to list brokers. If you contact us about a project, you will not end up on a spam list. We're marketers, and we hate that stuff more than you do.

We share information only with the service providers that make this website and our business run:

• Our website hosting provider, which stores this site and any information submitted through it.
• Mailchimp, which powers our forms and email list. Mailchimp's handling of your information is covered by Intuit's privacy statement.
• Square, for payment processing.

Each of these companies has its own privacy policy and is limited to using your information to provide their service. Beyond that, we would only disclose information if the law required it.

How long we keep information

We keep contact and project information as long as we're working together or might work together, and business records as long as tax and legal requirements say we have to. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except where we're legally required to keep it.

Children

This site is for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, including our clients' sites and our gallery at studioistari.com. Once you leave this site, their privacy practices apply, not ours.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date below. We won't quietly change the rules on you.
